Philippines-Cagayan Gas station with commercial center

This prefabricated steel structure project was completed in Cagayan, Philippines in 2022. The project consists of two connected functional zones: a gas station canopy with dimensions of 7m × 7m × 5.4m, and an attached commercial center measuring 20m × 9m × 6.8m. The overall design fully considers the tropical hot and humid climate of the Philippines, ensuring stable and durable performance under long-term outdoor exposure.

The primary load-bearing system adopts box steel columns combined with H-steel beams. The box section columns offer excellent bending resistance and torsional stiffness, providing reliable vertical support for the large cantilevered canopy roof. Alkyd paint coating is applied on all steel surfaces to deliver effective anti-rust and anti-corrosion protection against coastal salt spray and high-humidity environment. C purlins are used as secondary structural members to support the roof decking, evenly transferring roof loads and wind forces to the main steel frame.

For the roof system: 1mm floor decking plates are used as the roof bearing deck, which serves as permanent formwork and enhances the overall rigidity of the roof structure. The ceiling adopts 0.5mm V850 PPGI single sheets, providing a smooth interior finish and reliable weather resistance. The open design of the gas station canopy allows unobstructed vehicle access, while the adjacent commercial center can be used as a convenience store, retail shop or service area to support the daily operation of the gas station.

All steel components are factory-prefabricated and pre-processed before delivery. The entire project was packed and shipped in 1 × 40HQ container. The modular prefab design enables fast on-site erection and short construction period. This steel structure solution is ideal for gas station canopies, service stations and other commercial shed projects, featuring flexible layout, cost efficiency and long service life.
